Artist Statement
My goal in painting is to elicit an emotional response with my work. I specialize in abstracts and abstract impressionists works. Using my sculpture background, I combine texture and color to create an abstracted form that evokes emotion. The surfaces I paint on are custom made wood panels that provide a light weight yet rigid surface for applying texture and strength for large works. The pieces can be hung with or without additional framing.
